Open Studio

Open Studio is a leading Canadian, non-profit, artist-run printmaking centre dedicated to the production, preservation and promotion of contemporary printmaking. Open Studio provides services for artists and the public, including exhibitions, education, print sales and affordable studio facilities. Studio: Comprehensive production facilities for relief, intaglio, screenprinting and lithography (including photo-based processes). Visiting Artist and Guest Renter Residencies: Visiting artist residencies allow artists to develop a new print-based body of work in our facilities (printmaking experience not necessary) followed by a two-person exhibition (travel/accommodation not included). The Guest Renter program is geared toward printmakers outside of Toronto, providing one-month studio rental (travel/accommodation and materials/supplies not included). Scholarship/Fellowship Residencies: Three annual scholarship/fellowship residencies provide rent-free access to the studio for one year; a materials allowance; professional development assistance; free access to workshops; and more. Exhibitions: 8-10 annually, CARFAC fees paid. Education: Three sessions yearly. Other: Custom printing services for artists.
